Abstract

This case study explores the use of sandtray therapy interventions with an adult that experienced pregnancy loss. A description of the case will discuss how the use of the sand tray facilitated a client's processing of trauma and grief in the aftermath of an early pregnancy loss, becoming pregnant again, and coping with a new pregnancy after loss. Illustrations of the sand tray setup, prompts, themes, and processing questions will be provided.
